Rimmel London Wonder'full mascara in extreme black- REVIEW

I picked up this mascara after some serious lash envy, my friends lashes looked dark, full and long! When she said it was Rimmels Wonder'full I decided that my mascara had dried out, and I needed to try a new one ;) So on my trip to boots I picked this up in extreme black (that is why the packaging isn't fully rose gold/bronze) It was £7.99 but as I also bought a concealer I got a lash accelerator endless mascara for free, which is always a good thing!

 

The formula is very wet, which I like, although you have to leave time between coat for it to dry or it can get clumpy. You have to be quite careful when you take the wand out because the tip of the brush collects some mascara which you have to wipe off or it starts to drip (a little annoying). I am happy that I choose extreme black as it really adds lots of drama to the eyes. I found this mascara to be more lengthening than voluminous but that doesn't bother me too much as my lashes are naturally voluminous with less length. Also points to Rimmel for the cool packaging.

 

Some thing I was quite interested about was the argan oil in this mascara, I already knew that it made my hair sleek and soft, so I guess this is the same concept but for your lashes. My only problem with this is that I feel it doesn't hold a curl as well, but it is great as it doesn't give my lashes that gross crispy feeling. Something I love about this mascara is the brush, it is medium size with thin, spiky bristles, these are my favourite as I find they grab every lash. The brush is quite similar to "they're real" but more flexible, as the wand and bristles move more.

 

Sorry for the slightly blurry, slightly too close picture but I think this shows off the mascara. This was three coats on the upper lashes and two coats on the lower lashes. I left it at this because I felt if I did any more it would start to clump. Over all I really like this mascara and although it had a few drawbacks I think it is definitely worth the money.
